Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy

Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP) is an autoimmune condition causing injury to the peripheral nerves. Patients experience numbness, tingling, weakness, imbalance, and loss of coordination, often developing over weeks to months. Cause of injury is to the myelin sheath of peripheral nerves and nerve roots. Early treatment can limit the damage to the nerves and mitigate the disability caused by this condition.
